Wow, they were huge. The waist was extremely large, the hip/seat was also too big, but less so than the waist. Overall WAY too big. I have a feeling the 4 would fit in the waist but would be snug across the seat. They seem to be cut for women with a flatter bum than mine. They were returned.

This never happens to me - hips yes, but waist no. I ordered a 10. I'm 5'10" and an athletic 160#. I have a small waist with relatively larger hips but these shorts were okay in the hips and waaay too tight in the waist, which says to me that there probably aren't too many people these are going to fit correctly.
