Not at all like a Montrail... By mountaineer from wet western wa on 08/16/2008 Cons: Bulky, No ankle or heel support, Tongue construction, Uncomfortable Best Uses: I would not recommend use Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Love my Montrails-- wear them all day, everyday to work at the emergency room and in the field. They have performed well wet and dry and on trails. THESE Montrails were AWFUL. The size suggestion about ordering 1/2 size larger was totally off for me- they were too big. I didn't bother re-ordering, as the shoes were cumbersome and the padding I love in my other montrails was totally absent. Would not suggest these for anything.
