By Doug the Walkin Guy from Kalamazoo on 11/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Rugged, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the 4th pair of Vasques I've owned over the that few years, the first of this model. I have grown to believe that the brand is, out of the box, is the most comfortable & reliable shoe or boot around.
Great deal on a Gore-Tex trail shoe By Tuckieman from Charlotte, NC on 11/08/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Rugged, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Hard to say if arch is "high" or "low" as it depends on your particular foot shape and biomechanics. Sizing seems to run almost true to a typical running shoe (usually recommended to buy a half size to full size larger than your street shoe size). Toe box is not wide so it depends on how much room you want for those little piggies. I own a pair of the regular (non GTX) Blur and these don't seem to be any heavier. Still seem very breathable, but I'll typically only wear GTX when the temps outside get a little chilly. Great deal, best I've found and a shoe I like and wear every weekend running or hiking trails around the area. Good traction without the midsole feeling too stiff, but is not really a shoe for on-road use...it would seem very stiff then. IF Vasque normally fit your feet these are for you!
By Davis B from North Carolina on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Aside from the relative lightweight aspects and good water-proofing, the shoe has a removable footbed and sufficient height to allow my custom orthotics to fit. Many shoes I have tried, this results in heel slippage. These, however, do not. I bougth 2 pairs. Great shoes.. comfortable and light. I often wear them for 14 hours and working on hard surfaces/concrete and my foot fatigue is minimized.
