It is a little heavier than I would prefer but I will carry a few extra pounds for a 15 degree bag under $50. This bag also stayed dry despite the inside of our tent getting soaked during a down pour. It did the job nicely and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good equipment at an affordable price.

As a novice backpacker I knew I needed my supplies to be light, but also comfortable when sleeping. This bag was certainly light and could be compressed well. I cannot comment on the warmth as I slept on top of it due to the warm air, but it feels good and I believe it will do well in colder temperatures.

The first was a backwoods camping trip in early August at 10,500 feet. The other was a mid-August car camping trip, in which the first nite it got down to 25 F. Both trips, the bag kept my wife and I warm. We each have a sorcerer. My wife is usually cold, so whenever she says she was warm, I would endorse the product. Just two cons....the zipper snags very easily, so take your time zippering, and the second is the velcro pad for the hood...if you do not use it, it can sandpaper your chin. Overall, very satisfied.
