Looking forward to XC ski season By Plumb Bob from St. Paul, MN on 10/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Generous pockets, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Nordic Skiing, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My first soft shell, so not a lot to compare too. Surprising how well it insulates given how thin and light it is. Was perfectly warm while standing around in 35 degree windy weather. Should probably handle down to single digits with base layers for x-country skiing. Blocks the wind quite well. Only complaint is that the zipper is reversed. I'm 5'10", 205 lbs and the XL fits snugly with layers, as it should. Sleeves are a little long on me, so probably about right length for taller XL person.
