By Anne from Ridgway, CO on 12/10/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Before buying these boots, I read a review that warned about the zippers not staying up. I rationalized that it must have been a defect on that particular pair and purchased anyway. Well, the zippers don't stay up but work their way down to about half way after brief walking. I still generally like the boots - they feel warm and have good traction - but I can't help but wonder why they would ever manufacture a boot like this with zippers that don't do the job. If you are going to do alot of walking in these or if the snow is particularly high, pass on these.

Sorel Alpha Track Pulley Boots in Alaska By Kenai Outdoorsman from Kenai Peninsula, AK on 12/09/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Snow Machining, Snow Shoeing at -20, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As an Alaskan resident, I have come to love these boots. They are warm (almost to the point of being hot), they have excellent traction on snow, and the removable bootie makes them very easy to put on. The only con is that they are bulky, but no more than any other boot that is rated to 60 below zero.
By Teacher in Alaska from Wasilla, AK on 12/09/2007 Cons: Haven't worn them outside Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our snow has melted, so I haven't had a chance to wear them outside yet. Indoors, they prove to be very comfortable and warm.
By Deyhaati from Colgate, WI on 12/09/2007 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Best Uses: Terrific use in snow Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a terrific buy. Could not get any better but it is kind of bulky. And I believe with what it does..keep the tootsies from freezing...it has to be bulky. Awesome buy and a great product. It was highly recommended by a friend in Manitoba and hence I gave it a shot and am a happy camper now!!
By Jen from New Hampshire on 12/08/2007 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Great appearance Cons: Don't Breathe, Heavy, Not Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the way these boots look, and as long as it's not wet or slushy outside, they are great. However, we had our first big snow in NH, and as I waded through it, the wetness came right into my boots. Also, their description stated that they run small, and advised to order a WHOLE size larger-- I did this, and I wish I hadn't. I think they are a maximum of a half-size larger, if not size-accurate. I had to get inserts to make mine fit. Bummer.
