Sorel

Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it’s not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1908 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel’s advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today’s active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.

Comments:
Boots are very nice. Got a steal of a deal. Has taken a bit of time to get used to walking in them, but the traction/waterproofing/and warmth cannot be beat in this Canadian climate. Only thing that knocked my rating was I ordered them on a free shipping deal & mistakenly paid the shipping. Online customer help told me to email the problem, I did, no one ever responded.

By Mountain LaurenVerified Reviewer from Bartow, WV on 12/22/2007
Pros:
attractive, Comfortable, Easy zip on and off, Good Traction, Great value, Quality Construction, Warm
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I live in the snow, and it gets icy. These have good stability and traction. Since they're easy to slip on and off with the zipper front, it's convenient to wear them to work and back, and take other shoes for indoor wear. They're comfortable and nice looking enough to wear more, though. I'd read one review with a complaint about the zipper slipping down, but I haven't had that problem.

Comments:
I wear them everyday to and from work and in the yard after work when I'm playing with my dog. I do not like cold, wet feet. I am short, with short calves and this style fits me perfecto, plus the zippers make it easy to put on and off. P.S. I did recommend these to a co-worker and she ordered a similar pair, same brand

These boots are great for use in very snowy/wet terrain. They are, however, not for everyday use, because of their bulky nature and difficult entry.

I like these boots but am disappointed they aren't as warm as advertised. 1/2 size up is better than 1 full size. I have worn them for 10 hour stretch and still find them comfortable. I would recommend this boot.
