Sorel

Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it’s not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1908 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel’s advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today’s active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.

Comments:
I like these boots so much I wear them almost on a daily basis now! Very warm (and my feet are ALWAYS cold), relatively cute (though I'm not much of a stylista), and the traction is really solid. They are definitely waterproof, too. I haven't worn them in actual snow yet, but I wore them while jumping through puddles and my toes stayed completely dry. The only down side would be that the calf opening isn't real fitted, like other boots.

I just recieved my boots (october) and cannot comment on the performance features. I purchased them as a more stylish winter boot; they are very good looking and very comfortable. I wear another Sorel boot for outdoor activities (for the past 9 winters). I live in New England and know that the Sorel products are durable, warm, comforatble.

These did not look or feel like the size I usually wear. I would have ordered one size up for warm socks- otherwise, they're great boots! Perfect for slush and really soggy conditions.

Comments:
It's hard to rate this product as it's not been cold enough out to wear it - my main concern is that the boots are so thick you can't feel toes through them, so it's very hard to tell whether they're a good fit. I don't quite trust my daughter's opinion on this yet!
