By Mo from Ithaca, NY on 11/18/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Not Comfortable, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are really nice boots but i have a bad ankle and these were just to firm and not really comfortable. But I am sure they are great for what they are made for and thats rock climbing and ice climbing. I just felt they were way to stiff and rigid.
nice looking, comfortable By gac from IA. on 11/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes fit my narrow foot (I ordered a half-size down as suggested), are a good quality, nice-looking, well-made, comfortable shoe. I especially like the gore-tex for protection from the wet weather. If they had arch support they would be perfect.
good quality waterproof boots By swallowtail from Albany, NY on 11/17/2009 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Asolo always makes quality boots and these boots are well-built, durable, and hug my feet. They are on the ugly side but I only use them for outdoor work in the mud. They have a seam that can be irritating (peculiar to my feet) but I wear heavy socks and just need to keep the boots tight. And I look like a rocketman!
By Stu from British Columbia on 11/17/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, These are great boots, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Don't carry heavey loads, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these boots for off road hiking and for casual wear. They were just great right out of the box. Have not exposed them to being submerged in water, but with the type of hiking I do they are great. I live in BC. where it rains a bit so far so good. I am sure that they would meet most peoples needs. I like them.

By shellbelle from finksburg, MD on 11/17/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Heavy Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had difficulty at the start. Too stiff if I tied the upper laces too tight. Once I loosened the laces, the boots fit right. I have only had time to wear them around town to break them in. I have yet to have tested them in wet or cold weather. I'm hopeful they will work out just right.

Originally ordered size 12 Medium which is my usual size but they were a little too tight, I returned them and ordered 12 Wide and they feel perfect. Most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They are a tiny bit stiff but not very so I know they will break in quickly.
I am planning to hike the Appalacian Trail here in New Hampshire in the spring and I have every confidence that these boots will perform well.
Looking forward to using them on a trek By Monk from Bellmere Australia on 11/16/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots will be used for treks.
Have had a three hour hike in them I feel they are a half size too small, if they were correct I think they would have a very quick breakin time, and be very comfortable.
The laces are a bit tricky to do up.
