Ends numb toes from hiking in snow
By Summit Park Walker from Park City, UT on 01/24/2008
Pros:
Effective, perfect temp
Best Uses:
Anytime feet are in snow
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Even with my -25 deg F Sorel boots, my toes would go entirely numb when hiking through deep snow or snowshoeing. Not anymore, now that I use the toe warmers. At first I was concerned that my feet would get too hot and sweaty, leading to wet, and therefore, cold, toes. However, the temperature of the pads is just right. I can feel the warmth when indoors, but when I'm out in the cold (below 20 deg F) I don't feel anything but a lack of cold. Note: I put the pads on TOP of my toes, because that's where the insulation in the boots fails when my feet are immersed in the snow. Now I can stay out longer enjoying the beautiful Wasatch Mtns where I live.

Just right
By Philippa from PA on 01/09/2008
Pros:
Safe, Works Well
Best Uses:
Cold Climate
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These make the difference between frozen toes and comfort! They don't get as warm as the handwarmer version, so you don't really perceive much heat in your boots, but they keep your toes comfortable even in quite cold conditions. They're great.
