Disappointed in the tongue. By Lake the personal fitness trainer from Sarasota, FL on 04/04/2009 Cons: Added midsole to make fit, Not much of an arch, Tongue too thin narrow, Too much depth width, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a sincere Merrell devotee, but figured I would branch out & try these Asolos, which look really good. First of all, I ordered 1/2 size smaller as the description advised. But still, I had to add an extra thick midsole under the real insole to take up extra space, and add an arch. And the tongue is very narrow, and very thin, which puts pressure on the forefoot when cinching up the lace to fit. Therefore, I am only wearing them in the house, because I am on the fence about keeping them or returning them.

Solid, comfortable hiking/walking shoe By Walkabout from Marlboro, Vermont on 03/17/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Nice looking, Rugged, Supportive well made, Weather Resistant Best Uses: Around town, Light hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a well made, versatile shoe with good arch support. It was comfortable right out of the box; I wore it for several hours with no discomfort. That said, order at least a half size smaller! I usually wear an 8-8 1/2 and the 7 1/2 was perfect. Also, the berry color was a little pinker than I expected, but not glaringly so.

Great shoe with excellent support! By KG from Chandler, AZ on 12/13/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these shoes. I ordered a 9.5, and I usually buy my running and hiking shoes in a size 10 because I like the extra room. I ordered a 9.5 based on the fact that they recommend a half-size smaller than normal. My regular dress-shoe size is 8.5-9.0. I put a shock-absorbing insole in, and the fit is a lot better. Otherwise, they were a little wide for my narrow feet. Great shoe with excellent support for hiking with a toddler on my back! I needed something with a very sturdy base, and these fit the bill. Cute colors, too!
By SD from CA on 11/26/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Are these mislabled as approach shoes? These looked more like trail shoes and the bottom luggs looked like they were for the trails not rocks. There was no schmear about them on my slate floors. The Patagonia Huckleberry Approach shoes gripped my floors.
