By PHX FJC from Phoenix on 08/06/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes, however they are a 1/2 size large and run wide. I usually double insole all of my hiking/athletic shoes, which i did with these. Result - all ok, a little wide still. I wear nothing but asolo's, there just the best shoe for the $$$, especially here @ Sierra!

Very comfortable too!! Highly recommended!!

By Steamboat Joe from Steamboat Springs, CO on 07/06/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Great Traction Cons: Not Comfortable, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Delivery Driver, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these as a summer work shoe in my job as a delivery driver. As such, I am on my feet for up to 14 hours a day. The sizing is right on and the shoe is comfortable on the top but the sole is pretty hard in strange spots (outside ball of the foot near the little toe). This could just be me but I've never had problems there before. I still did a medium agressive 12 mile hike in them with no problem except as noted above. I'm going to add cushion inserts which I hope will make this a 4-star shoe instead of just a 2-star shoe and then I would recommend it to a friend.
By Hawk from Litchfield, CT on 07/05/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got back from my 2 day adventure, hiking part of the AT from CT to MA. I specifically bought this shoe for this occasion. I climbed several “I can’t believe how steep that is” Mt’s that I didn’t think were possible with my 40lbs pack digging into my shoulders. The shoe seemed to work without me really knowing it was working. Super good up hill and super good down. I would have to say that they don’t do well for more then 8 hours of backpacking. The next day it rained slightly the whole day and everything was wet. This shoe didn’t do well with wet, which was fine for 2 or 3 hours of hiking but after wringing out my socks 2 or three times I realized that the next time I do this I either want a waterproof shoe or go hiking when it’s not wet out. The shoe is good for 2 to 3 hour hikes and light packs when it’s not wet out. I’m happy with this shoe, I just think I pushed it’s limits too far.
So good I bought two pairs! By Disc Golfer from Chicago on 06/26/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Gym Rat, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been wearing Asolo boots for 10 years, no other boot is better! Amazing fit, comfort and durability!
too wide in toe box for me By dad from virginia on 06/20/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Might work for some, but was too wide in the toe box for my foot. The heel felt snug and there was good arch support.
