By Bud from Montana on 06/08/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only problem is one of my own making. My feet are odd shaped & shoes take time to break-in. The better supported the shoe is , the more difficult they are to break-in. I've had this shoe before & was aware of the break-in problems, but once broken in this is a great shoe.
By Tiny from Billings, MT on 06/01/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned them, as they were slightly oversize.
Impressed by out of box fit & feel By gatorman from Utopia, Texas on 05/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Needed a good lightweight shoe for country walking and summer use with shorts in the Texas heat. Very impressed with the out of box fit & feel of these shoes. I've got wide feet and these have plenty of width without going wide or next size up to fit.
Looking forward to putting many miles on these shoes and will look very closely at ASOLO for my next pair of Gore Tex hikers.

Wider than my Asolo boots By JC from Renton, WA on 05/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The length is what I expected based on my two pairs of Asolo boots but the width is a bit wider which requires the use a medium weight or thicker sock to compensate (as recommended).
The quality is as good as my other Asolos so I expect to enjoy them for quite some time.
By john from Seattle, WA on 04/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The heal of this shoe is constructed too narrow. It causes pressure in the middle of my heel because the heel portion is shaped too narrow.
Asolo is my new fav shoe/boot maker By Jman from Roseville, Ca on 04/15/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for work becuase I am on my feet all day, and they are great just as expected. Although during the break-in process they squeaked, which became a little frustrating.
good shoes for good people By muddy buddy from northern virginia on 03/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Runs a bit bigger than what they say. Very comfy
By Consumer from The Lou on 03/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Generally, the shoe seems pretty well constructed. Like the Vibram sole. However, the "Asosorb" insole started sliding around after only a couple miles of use. These shoes don't seem true to size - little big. Also, the nubuck suede toe-cap does a great job of collecting stains. While these shoes seemed to be a great deal for the price, this advantage was negated for me as I had to replace insoles.
By Gonzoperu from arequipa, peru on 03/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Shock-Absorbent Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's hard to rate durability and such since I just got them but they seem very well made. I'm backpacking in south America right now and so far they've been perfect, but I've I've been at the beach for the most part so I haven't had a chance to take them trekking yet. If you would like to know how they held up for the rest of my trip email me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. [@]
