By Spydus43 from Bend, OR on 08/19/2009 Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: looks like a good shoe for level trails - but to me the heel seemed too narrow for stable footing on rough terrain -
A good pair of light hiking boots By Johnyraven from Maine on 07/20/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I injured a knee shortly before they arrived so I have not worn them hiking yet.
They are good looking
They seem a bit larger than size and seem to fit my wide feet well.
They are very shock absorbent
By ross9953 from NSW Australia on 07/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I need supportive but comforatble shoes to compensate for bi-lateral peripheral neuropathy in my feet and evolving hammer toe - these fit the bill perfectly and are way lighter than my heavy duty leather La Sportiva boots that I've worn to work for the last 5 years!! (luckily I work in a casual environment!!)
By Midwest trail jocky from Cedar Rapids, IA on 07/13/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Very Good materials Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, On and off trail Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Wilderness traveler Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Asolo fit and finish are excellent. I like that they are a bit wide to accomodate trail socks without binding. I have used them for both everyday walking and trail hiking and they have performed extremely well. The only drawback is that they are not very water resistant. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs light and secure low cut trail/walk shoes.
High volume but feel great! By TLR22 from Iowa on 07/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Great Traction, Width Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are really high volume and wide shoes. Normally, in athletic shoes, I wear a 14 EE. These are not listed as wide but fit me great... so if you have narrow feet beware. They are a little longer than most athletic shoes that I buy and I probably could have exchanged them for a 13 and had a slightly better fit (STP was out of 13). They feel very light and seem to be wearing well. For my big feet these Asolo's are great and I'll look for more.
By Roger the ropes course facilitator from Dover PA on 06/27/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second pair and I love them... I am a Ropes course facilitator, trek guide and adventure camp counselor and wear the shoe daily. My first pair held up well and I decided to stay with something that works. They run slightly wide in my opinion but otherwise the fit is true. They do not have that spongy cushioning that a lot of people like but after 8-9 hours in them my legs feel great.

By framptoniac from mystic iowa on 06/22/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: nice shoe runs a little big cool look good performance
By Bud from Montana on 06/08/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only problem is one of my own making. My feet are odd shaped & shoes take time to break-in. The better supported the shoe is , the more difficult they are to break-in. I've had this shoe before & was aware of the break-in problems, but once broken in this is a great shoe.
