By Neptune6 from Boston, MA on 03/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Pounding the Pavement, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic chic Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing these on days when there's light slush/snow/ice on the sidewalks and I'm too dressed up to wear snow clogs or snow boots. I wear tights or even chunky socks with them and they look fun and stylish. The soles are very thick and substantial and give you a little height while protecting you from the shocks of city pavement. They took very little breaking in, but I should note that I ordered up a size from what I normally wear in this brand. I wear a US 7-1/2 to 8-1/2 depending on the shoe, and normally wear a 38 in Ecco shoes, but ordered a 39 in this style and it's perfect. The strap is adjustable by almost 2 inches so that helps customize the fit. Highly recommended!

By Yoga girl from Boulder, CO on 02/05/2008 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Wow! I usually like Ecco shoes a lot. But, when I put these on, the side walls were super stiff and cut into my feet. I literally couldn't walk five steps without pain. I returned them right away as defective, and Sierra changed that setting to "too narrow" - but that's not it. My feet are a standard width and the foot bed felt fine. It was only the tops of the shoes that caused a lot of pain, seeming to push right on a nerve on the upper outer edge of the foot.
It's possible that there's something odd about my foot shape that made this one style impossible (though I wear Mary Janes and boots all the time). It's also possible that the shoes could be stretched to become comfortable. However, I didn't try anything other than saying "ouch" and returning them. :)
