Also, the sole is narrower than some shoes and feels a little unstable. I wore these around the house for 30 minutes and already my feet felt tired and pinched.

I know someone else said they were to stiff and cut into her feet, but I don't have that problem. They are sturdy and well made. I love 'em! I'll wear them with casual summer skirts.

They're very cute and feel very sturdy. My only complaint is that they are a bit narrow, but I have wide feet, so they may fit someone with a normal or narrow foot perfectly.

They fit snugly (I am a size 10 and ordered the 41) with a regular sock. Perhaps I need a slightly thinner sock to prevent chafing; walked over a mile in them yesterday with just minor discomfort. So far, I am happy with these shoes, and I expect they will stretch a bit. I just wish they came in some brighter colors.

Also, I find these promote a forward rocking motion which encourages me to push off from the heel and roll towards the toe, which strengthens my legs, energizes me, makes me feel light and bouncy, and improves my posture. They also have excellent toe room, so there is no rubbing or cramping, and all sides of the foot are sturdily supported.
These aren't long-distance walkers, however. The wedge is too thick to feel completely secure on uneven terrain; one might topple, but for a 2-hour brisk walk in town they are excellent and they are comfortable all-day walking at a normal pace.
They would certainly benefit from more interior cushioning, however, as they can be somewhat hard (I read the comments of an earlier reviewer who found them impossibly uncomfortable--luckily not in my case).
I also appreciate the new thicker, stylish strap style on this model (I finally wore out an earlier version and found Sierra in my internet search for a replacement). The new thicker strap supports the top of the foot securely and is a nice alternative to the older style braided strap.
As far as the overall appearance, using a softer more finished leather might be a nice touch for those who prefer a less matte finish (although I do enjoy the simplicity and casualness of the matte). All in all, these are stylish casual shoes that give some height, which can be worn with a skirt, and that support the feet very well. I definitely recommend them.
