By mike of iowa from on the mississippi on 11/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pad is the most comfortable I have ever used. It is best to let it sit for a day with the valve open to let it fully inflate. This is not a backpacking pad because it is heavy and a little bulky. but perfect for the weekend or short car trips. Really I slept better on this than on my memory foam mattress at home.
By Jeanne the Vacationer from New York on 08/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We used these for 5 nights camping in Yellowstone. They were more comfortable than the air mattresses we used to use...and they didn't deflate halfway through the night. They also insulated well against the cold ground and actually did self-inflate most of the way. It did take a while to deflate them, but I think this was a great product.
By Ol' Timer from Idaho on 08/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Even with breath assist the pad doesn't get to 2 in. thickness and isn't very supportive or "cushy."

By altree from Woods of N Florida on 08/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Cons: Hard to roll up small, Heavy Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: No problem sleeping on this pad. It is alittle hard to roll up small enough though. Was very comfy to sleep on which made up for the hard to roll up problem. We bought two and love them and the good nights sleep
High quality and comfortable pad. By New to camping from Bozeman, MT on 08/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used once car camping for a few nights. This was so much more comfortable than my previous pad. It also feels very well made. I'm impressed.
A must-have camping gear! By dave from SF Bay Area, CA on 08/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight, Non Slip Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My family(2 adults and 2 kids) were using air mattresses which were bulky and bouncy. I bought 4 of these from Sierra Trading Post after reading all the reviews here. I also compared reviews with other brands.
We just got back from a 3-day camping, well-rested. The kids got to 'test' the pads very thoroughly - they were jumping on them like they did on their mattresses at home.
These pads exceeded my expectations. I strongly recommend them. No more air mattresses!
One note: When brand-new, the pads took a while to inflate(by just leaving the valve open). I helped a bit by blowing a few huffs into the valve, closed the valve and left the pads inflated for a few days. After that, deflating and inflating took just a few minutes. Properly deflated, the pads fit nicely into the bags.
By Good Papa from deep south on 08/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Cons: Bulky Roll Up, Heavy Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought one of these and liked it so much I got another. It is substantial: that's for sure, but I prefer a good rest over a little weight and bulk. It slams my thermarest but it is a backpack model a bunch of years old. If it holds up, Its a truly great deal especially for the price.
By Jeff from Fort Collins, CO on 07/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight, Non Slip Best Uses: Car Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are durable and very comfortable pads. I have had two back surgeries and still slept good on this. I agree that they would NOT be good for back country hikes. However, they're great for car camping or even throwing on the floor for guests. They're easy to inflate, give some good insulation from the cold ground and seem very durable. We bought two and are going to buy two more so the kids have them too. If you're car camping...buy these before they're gone!
Great value, good comfort. By Papa from deep south on 07/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Cons: Bulky Roll Up, Heavy Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pad is large enough to support your entire body. It packs down sufficiently to do anything with including backpack. It is a bit heavy, but, at my age, I'd rather get a good nights sleep than worry about a few ounces.
The inclusion of a good stuff sack and repair kit enhance the value.
I just got it so I can't comment on longevity.
