By NikonShooter32 from Amherst, MA on 09/22/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Lowe Alpine Glacion softshell is a wonderful jacket for cool and breezy days/nights. Granted, the sleeves should have some kind of closure/adjustment on them, but other than that, the fit is slim but not restrictive at all. You can feel the breathability of the jacket, and the windproofing is top notch.
By B from Pacific Northwest on 07/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've previously purchased 2 Lowe Alpine fleeces (all size sm) and was very satisfied. This jacket is slightly shorter in length compared to my fleeces while the sleeves are slightly longer. However, the fit is still very good and the jacket is comfortable. While it is heavier than my fleeces, it remains very light when worn.
I haven't had a chance to test it through a Pacific Northwest winter but so far, everything feels great!

The piping gives it a retro track suit look but with cutting edge fabric technology. Also, the Lowe Alpine brand is a unique alternative to the patagonia/north face crowd.
