Looking forward to using them on a trek
By MonkVerified Reviewer from Bellmere Australia on 11/16/2009
Pros:
Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable
Cons:
Difficult Laces
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Bottom Line:

Comments:
These boots will be used for treks. Have had a three hour hike in them I feel they are a half size too small, if they were correct I think they would have a very quick breakin time, and be very comfortable. The laces are a bit tricky to do up.

Comments:
Asolo Fugitive GTX boots are excellent!! Originally ordered size 12 Medium which is my usual size but they were a little too tight, I returned them and ordered 12 Wide and they feel perfect. Most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They are a tiny bit stiff but not very so I know they will break in quickly. I am planning to hike the Appalacian Trail here in New Hampshire in the spring and I have every confidence that these boots will perform well.

An avid working desert rat that loves these European made boots. I have severe arthritis in my right ankle and high arches. I always add an arch supports to any boot, but these are by far the BEST bang for the buck for a quality boot at a reasonable price. I have 25 plus years of hard core hiking on my feet. Asolo keeps them happy!

Comments:
So far I have only had these boots for about two weeks. It is suggested to ween yourself into them, yet I jumped right in and had no serious issues other than getting used to a new pair of shoes. Great lacing system that stays where you put them, excellent ankle support but a little stiff right now overall, hopefully this will change as time continues on. Excellent choice when thought how long I researched boots.

I now have 4 pairs of Asolo boots. They are of very good quality and require no break in. I walk in France and Spain and find them perfect for the varied terrain encountered there. Stylish, comfortable and recommended. Sierra are hard to beat for price and service
