Light, comfortable, warmer than expected By DishSoap from Mountain View, CA on 08/26/2008 Pros: Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although I definitely would not use this bag in cold weather, it was plenty warm on a recent night in the Rockys with temps as low as 37 degrees F. It is also very light, easy to stow and looks great. I have the long and at 6 feet can still stretch out with the top closee over my head rather than under my chin for extra warmth, so having no hood was not a problem.
By KS from Upstate NY on 07/13/2008 Pros: Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this bag because a mummy would be too constraining, I got 2 of the same so they could be zipped together, and they are exactly what I had in mind. They are wonderfully lightweight and compress to a very small size, too. The only confusion I had was finding the "exterior stow pocket" which is advertised, but seems not to exist. I also would have preferred a different color, but that's no big deal. Otherwise, a great value for the price!!

By ka from New York, NY on 06/03/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stows Easily Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't used this yet, but it is a very lovely bag--light, nice colors, easily compressible, well-made. We bought for late summer camping up North, and for use as a dorm room blanket. It is handsome enough that it will be very nice for use indoors and seems quite warm for outdoor camping too.

Compact/Lightweight Quality Down Bag. By Mo from Napa County California on 12/17/2007 Pros: Compresses really small, Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Cons: Not Much Color Choice Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Car Camping, Couch surfing, House Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Although I am into minimalist wilderness survival. I like my sleeping bag to be nice and warm.
I purchased this bag for traveling abroad, it is light and packs really small. This is my second one the first one just got stolen recently, in San Francisco out of my car, (smashed my rear window). Along with my backpack and Pentax Optio camera.
The thing I missed the most was this bag. So I'm getting a second one.
By Rick Mc from Woodbridge, Virginia on 12/05/2007 Pros: Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Cons: Compression Sack Needed Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product excells! It should be sold with a waterproof compression bag for packing! Its seems crazy that a product that is clearly marketed towards the backpacker would not come standard with a compression bag. Loft is good, weight is fantastic. I would like to see some anti-slip strips sewn into the bottom of the bag to assist it staying on pads. I found the bottom of the bag would slip off the sleeping pad if you were doing more than sleeping in the coffin position! This is a minor complaint for a solid product that performs as good as it looks!
By Bob from Springfield, MO on 11/29/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Stows Easily Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Great room. The best cool weather bag By Sansu from Austin, TX on 10/11/2007 Pros: Great Zipper System, Lightweight, No hood, Realistic temp rating, Semi-rectangular, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: Backpacking, Cool 50-70F camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The best cool weather bag I have ever owned. Semi-rectangular, so it is very comfortable. I like the lack of a hood, because a hood is not needed for 50F-70F camping. Also, the lack of a hood means that even though it is semi-rectangular, it is still extremely light and compresses really small. Like all Marmot bags, it the temperature rating is realistic.
