Not really fair for me to rate By Rissy from Chicago on 06/06/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ok, this is probably too superficial for some, but I really couldn't take the color and sent these back before I tried them. Bought because of reputation and positive reviews, but my monitor showed the color to be much more subdued than in real life. They did feel great on ... and I would probably recommend (with a warning about the color).
Durable, supportative yet sensitive! By kitkat from san diego,ca on 06/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Second pair I've owned of these comfy boots, they are great for scrambling in the mountains, hiking on trails, carrying small overnight packs and even short sections of 5th rock climbing on mountain routes. I like the support and stiffness that doesn't overly affect the "feel".
ultra-comfortable and durable By Career field worker & hiker from Traverse City, MI on 05/11/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have (and still use) previous incarnations of this Asolo boot (the FSN series). The footbeds are perfect for my feet - wide ball and narrow heel; and with plantar fasciitis, these boots keep my feet functioning all day long when I'm doing field work. Excellent boot for an excellent price, great support and comfort, very durable. Last several field seasons.

I would recommend these boots to anyone By Murph Dog from Fresno, CA on 04/07/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Cons: Comfy break in needed Best Uses: Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I plan to use the product for backpacking. I ordered them early to wear them now, so they are broken in by hiking season. They are a little stiff to begin with, but any good hiking boot is. They should be ready for their first big trip by the end of May. Looking forward to it!!!
By dedib from Portland, OR on 03/19/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I wore these boots, the top of the boot rubbed against my leg. My leg was sore the next day; however, I haven't had any problems with the boots since then. They are extremely comfortable.

Great Boots! (But be sure & size down!) By trails4me from Richmond, VA on 02/12/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great boots. They are very comfortable. There is little to no break in time. Strong and durable, yet flexible. Just be aware that Asolo shoes/boots are always a half size to a whole size too large. I knew this. I usually wear a 9. I got an 8.5 and these are perfect. I wish they came in more colors. The blue is nice.
