Needed to know I'd be dry and warm in these northern Wisconsin Winters. Plus we're taking the family to Yellowstone/Tetons and I needed two layers, perfect layering.
By Beginning Boarder from Black Hills on 11/16/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket fits snugly when the liner is attached to the shell. When not attached but wearing together, the jacket fits perfectly...something to do with the snaps. It is a great jacket altogether and can't wait to hit the slopes!
By Surfer Paul from New Hampshire on 11/14/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket didn't recieve an excellent rating from me based on the fit. While the sleeves are an appropriate length, the jacket itself is fairly short. I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 180 lbs. and ordered the XL. I was suprised to find that the jacket barely falls below my belt. Other similiar jackets (North Face, etc.) have a longer torso which many, myself included prefer. It is still a good jacket for the money but something to keep in mind when considering a purchase.
By Spintly from Punxsutawney, PA on 11/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Stylish, Warm, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very happy with the jacket. Zippers are nice and the inner shell is warm and fits well. I ordered the brown color and was pleased that the actual color is darker than in the picture.
By Midrover from Aspen, CO on 10/20/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Constricts Movement, Irregular Size Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice enough jacket, but has some serious flaws. First of all, the loops on the liner to connect to the shells sleeves are CHEAP! I just tried this on for the first time and one loop already ripped off. Come on Mt. Hardware, you can do better than that. Also, the jacket seems to be very short. I'm only 6'2 and I go the large and it barely goes past my belt. The liner is even shorter! Sleeve length is okay though. The jacket is toasty and I think after re-sewing on the loop, it should make for a good, although short, snow sports jacket.
Durable, reliable, and comfy By Evan from Charleston, SC on 10/14/2009 Pros: Durable, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Awesome jacket for the elements, not rain nor sleet nor snow could keep you down with this thing on...not as stylish as I would have hoped, but the liner is toasty and overall very comfy. Tru fit

By brewer from Tacoma, WA on 10/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Constricts Movement, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Mild chill in the air, Rain Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the fleece lining constricts movement slightly when it is in the shell. Living in the PNW, I got this mainly as a rain shell so it's not a big deal to me. If the shell or fleece are worn on their own, they both fit great individually, it's just when they are worn together that they slightly restrict movement. If you are looking for a ski coat this may not be your best choice in my opinion.
