cracked earlier than expected By alltrailsrgoodguy from Lake Placid, NY on 05/04/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm Cons: Bulky, Very long laces- too long Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Trecking heavy snow Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: warm and waterproof, but- I had the boots for less than 6 months before the bottom rubber side outseal cracked open in both boots. I had to return them. 6 months is not very long. I guess not very movement- friendly?
By Scott from Central California Coast on 03/10/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Minor pressure points Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only (minor) problem I see thus far is that the "tongue" of the boot is made from a fairly stiff material; it's padded fairly well, but until it wears-in and conforms more to the front of my foot there will be slight pressure that will take time to adjust to. Other than that, I know the boot will provide excellent protection from snow and slush, along with good traction.
Excellent shoe with minor design flaw By AlaskaDad from Juneau Alaska on 02/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect shoe for SE Alaska city climate. Great comfort right out of the box, very lightweight, and great design EXCEPT that the low cut back seems to catch my heel when putting on, and I anticipate early, premature wear and tear across the rim of the shoe in the back. But I STILL love them.
By Dogger from Duluth, MN on 02/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Seem to run a little small. Only thin socks will work. I was surprised, as I have not had this problem with the Sorrels I've bought over the last couple of decades. Still, for the price they are ok, just not what I normally expect from Sorrel.
Too bulky around the ankle....ouch!! By Scott the dog walker from Pinehurst, North Carolina on 02/05/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these boots for the few times it snows in North Carolina. Everything about them is good except around the ankle/lower leg. They hurt! I don't know if it's because the material is too thick in that area or what but they are stiff and if you walk very long become very uncomfortable around your leg.

By northchain from South Bend, In on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had them for a month and have been very pleased so far. They are not high enough for trail blazing through deep snow, but for an everyday boot for working or hiking in cold, shallow snow conditions, they have been great. I am interested to see how well they hold up over the years.
