By Trish from Pomfret Center, CT on 11/17/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, No Batteries Best Uses: Everything, Spare for Emergencies, Young Child wants light Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really like this product since it doesn't use any batteries. I have a 3yr old who loves flashlights at night or just playing during the day and she was going through batteries every two days in her old flashlight. Solar Flashlights are a great alternative and a wonderful idea.

By ep from blacksburg, VA on 10/30/2009 Cons: Dim, Low battery life Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: might be good if you live in florida. left out for a few days and it still is dim. Button you press to turn on does not work well. I also got the flashlight that you shake. It is much better and about the same price
By Lizzy from Texas on 10/27/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I unpacked the flash light and turned it on, it worked!! I will be giving them as gifts at Christmas and was looking for something kind of Green.
Seems to work intermittently By Mt Anna from Richmond, Va on 10/25/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited about the concept of a solar flashlight so I wouldn't have to lug extra batteries in my pack. I planned to keep the flashlight out to charge it during the hike and then use it at night. Unfortunately it is not reliable. Sometimes it holds the charge sometimes it doesn't and the beam is just too dim.
By Beanster from N,Y, city on 10/03/2009 Pros: Battery free, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Car Maintenance Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These flashlights are a tremendous bargain, when one considers the amount of money spent on batteries for other flashlights. With just a few hours of sunlight these flashlights will last 2-3 hrs.of continuous use.Admittedly, the beam is not adjustable nor is it as powerful as a xenon battery light, but what you give up is counterbalanced by the advantage on not buying nor having to worry about leaking batteries!
