Soft and comfortable, handy pop off feature. Worry a little about that part coming loose after awhile, but for the $, a good buy.

Comments:
These mitten/gloves are the best! They give you the warmth of mittens, but the flexibility of gloves. The inside lining of these mittens is very soft and warm. The only drawback is that they are not water resistant, but I'm not planning on using them in really wet snow.

good for hot hands
By lucy from Indianapolis on 10/27/2009
Pros:
Warm
Cons:
They don't come in sizes
Best Uses:
Backcountry, Hiking/Running, Working Outdoors
Describe Yourself:
Advanced
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Sizing:
Feels too large
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
My hands get hot in mittens when we hike in the winter. Regular mittens are constantly being taken off and then put back on. This goes on for the whole trek. These "pop tops" let cool air in without a lot of fuss. Since I am constantly taking the end of the mitten off and on, the button to hold it up is too much of a bother. If you know you are going to keep the end of the mitten off, then the button would be helpful. I don't think these are the most attractive mittens, but since they do the job I am willing to forgo fashion.

Comments:
I've been looking for something like this, in a woman's size, for a long time! Cuter than I hoped, and very useful for manipulating things without taking the entire mitten off. With the button to secure the mitten top, they might make decent cross-country skiing gloves, too. My hands always get too warm while I'm moving, and then too cold when we stop. These look perfect for adjusting to the conditions.

Poorly made
By anneVerified Reviewer from virginia on 02/16/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Warm
Cons:
Too Bulky, Wears Out Quickly
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Driving
Describe Yourself:

Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The gloves are stylish but they are cheaply made. I have been wearing these for a month and already one of the clasping buttons has fallen off and the knitted material is unraveling where the removable material covering the fingers meets the glove. It's not possible to repair this since it's the actual knit/pearl stitches that are falling apart.

Comments:
Love these gloves. Use them for cold weather water sampling. Able to use my fingers without taking entire glove off and on, a plus. Retains warmth well, even when damp because they are wool. Perfect on an 18 degree morning performing water sampling, or for sailing, camping, mapping etc. I recommend hand wash and dry, I think they would shrink if put in a machine washer and dryer.
