Nice jacket, shorter than expected, By Occa from Vienna, VA on 06/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a casual user, but this jacket is very light and comfortable. The hood was particularly impressive. I did find the jacket shorter in length than expected so it does not cover the pockets of your pants (move your phone and wallet somewhere safe). Also there is only two chest pockets so no where to put your hands.
By jacket-guy from usa on 05/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was worried that the hood on this jacket would be generic as it is a zip in however, the hood is nice/standard non-zip in quality. As mentioned in previous reviews, the zipper is on the wrong side and a little difficult to operate. Bottom line = REAL Gore-Tex is worth the $, I've been burned by too many knock off membrane materials.
By Paul from PA on 05/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, looks good, Warm, Waterproof Cons: No pit zips, Returned med for a large Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Unpredictable weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In order to layer I needed a large. Other good brands a med (usually) is my choice. I appreciated the heads up from others that the zipper zips opposite what I am used to. The good part about that is it makes me be more careful when zipping. Got used to it quickly and it seems durable. I haven't washed it yet...this is my only unknown.
By pinetar from East Texas (behind the pine curtain) on 05/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had this jacket for a couple of months, and it has become my "go to" jacket for inclement weather. Lightweight, breathable and of course, waterproof. Went skiing in Taos with it this spring, Denver for Easter and the spring rains here in East Texas. No problem. Would have rated it higher, except I keep forgetting that it is European made, which means the zipper is reverse, so I struggle with that sometimes. Could have more pockets, since there are only 2 external pockets. And for pete's sake, don't let your wife see the price, or you will never hear the end of it! (even at STP prices)
By TripleD from Seattle on 02/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Compact for travel
By Jolly the Swagman from Australia on 01/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for hiking and it's perfect. Very very light and packs up small yet stills seems pretty hardwearing. I have a medium and it's a perfect fit though the sleeves are slightly long-not a problem as the velcro cuffs keep them in place and the extra length gives you alot of arm movement without the cuffs riding up. Very nice to be able to buy a quality gore-tex shell that's made outside of the far east. Very nice looking jacket and highly recommended.
By gavination from park city utah on 01/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: its all good except the torso of the jacket isnt long enouph and the zipper is on the wrong side. but other than that its a good jacket for the price.

By phhiknhunter from mattoon, il on 01/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features, Runs one size small Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket, very high quality.
I wanted to layer clothes and wear this jacket as an outer shell but xxl I ordered feels more like an xl. will still work fantastic for hiking and is easy to pack. I would buy again but order one size larger. very expensive even at sale price but the quality is very high as well, I feel this jacket will last even with several years of tough wear.
