They keep my feet warm but dry. So far I have no complaints about them other than wish they came in a few more colors.

By arborrider05 from Bayfield, WI on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 2nd time ordering this model of Smartwool socks. After a few months of wearing this light to mid weight merino wool sock decided on another order. Used for daily wear, yard work, hiking and trail running. The weight of these socks allows for good thermo regulation and moisture control over a wide temp range. Durability has been excellent. Quality of construction for "2nds" has been good. If the socks were not stamped as irregulars I wouldn't have noticed they were 2nds. No stink factor like most synthetic after consecutive days of wearing. Takes a bit longer to dry out after washing.

I find them to be a great value.
