Mountainsmith |
| If necessity is the mother of invention, frustration could easily be the father. Mountainsmith founder Patrick Smith was motivated by both when he tried to find a functional, durable backpack that was easy to carry in the 1970’s. When the bags he tried came up short on comfort and convenience, he began building his own. Since that time, Mountainsmith has become a leader in travel systems built to take the rigors of the journey, from rugged trails to baggage carousels. From their signature bright yellow linings (to help you find what you need in the dark) to hundreds of user-friendly extras, Mountainsmith makes innovative packs, camera bags and luggage for travelers who like to stay comfortably organized. Take the burden off your back and your wallet, wherever you roam, with a quality bag or pack from Mountainsmith. |

Great pack for a bunch of uses By PL from NY on 08/23/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy access to all the co, Easy to Pack, Good Padding, Large Main compartment, Very comfortable, Well made and designed Best Uses: Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I was looking for a good sized, but not huge pack ... and I found it! So far I have used this pack for a long weekend in a hotel, a few days camping, and a regular weekend away and it has worked out perfect for everything.
The main compartment is large enough to fit a few days worth of clothes and so easy to load!! The front pouch holds all my little stuff securely and the inbetween area is great for magazines and papers!
It is very comfortable to wear, although I have not used it for actual backpacking yet.
I am very happy with it and would recommend it.

Plenty of room for daytrips or longer. Comfortable and durable.
Awesome deal for weekend backpacking! By Brown Eyed Girl from Dalton, GA on 08/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I could easily fit 25-35lbs. of stuff in this pack. I love all the pockets with zippers. The waist belt felt too high before I filled the pack, but sits just right when the pack is full. No soreness anywhere after first use.
