I have been a faithful Marmot user for over 6 years, and I had to go two sizes up for the jacket not to constrict. I will admit that I normally buy items with the athletic cut, so that may be to blame.
I use it as a zipin to my tamarack shell. They go great together. The fleece is super warm, so I recommend figuring out your size beforehand, and then buying it online.

I wanted lightly insulated pants to wear biking in cold weather. These were a shell with no insulating qualities. I purchased an M3 jacket last year that had a bonded insulation and I hoped the pants would be the same. They fit well and were very comfortable when worn alone but since they were not insulated I need to wear an insulating base layer. This makes the pants too snug.
