Lafuma |
| Founded in the French Alps in 1930, Lafuma got its start by manufacturing backpacks for veteran climbers and mountain enthusiasts. Today, Lafuma produces a full line of high-quality outdoor gear and apparel including hiking footwear, adventure race packs and lightweight, packable camp furniture. One of Sierra’s most popular commodities, Lafuma camp chairs, loungers and tables are made of tubular steel and aluminum alloys, for lightweight durability in your patio or camp. Innovative safety lock systems easily lock legs and chair backs in place to prevent accidental tipping. So whether you’re hiking, backpacking or kicking back at camp, let Lafuma technology and experience lighten the load on your next trip to the great outdoors. |

By halia and flammeus from catskills on 11/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable and fits me well (I'm a petite woman). Noticeably lighter than other packs I've used. Extremely adjustable.
Well contoured shoulder straps and more By Christopher the traveler from Currently St. Louis, Mo on 11/27/2008 Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very well thought out, and executed design. I've had several 'good' brands of packs that were not nearly as comfortable. I hardly notice it's there, even when, for a medium/small pack, I've a substantial load(upper 20s-mid 30s). Not the easiest bag to get into but all the design compromises seem to be justified by the way they function. Ultimately, I believe this is a pack that one will gradually appreciate more, and more. The hanger system for the hydration bag seems very adaptable for different brands, and the various bag-sections, pockets, retaining straps, and attachment points, make for a versatile pack that will function very well for a 1-2 day hike, possibly even for 3 or more days in the appropriate season.
