Despite Haglöfs now being the largest supplier of outdoor equipment in Scandinavia, the company had humble beginnings. In 1914, Viktor Haglöf hand-stitched the company’s first backpacks and began selling them from his bicycle in Torsang, Sweden. No bells or whistles. It is a shell and therefore light weight. There are no pit zips. The hood does not detach. However, it is well made and I like the simplicity. I plan to wear it in the suburbs and in the country.
